今宵は、長い間歌われているクリスマス・スタンダードを2曲、「Let It Snow（雪よ降れ）」、「The Christmas Song」。
最初の曲、「Let It Snow（雪よ降れ）」は、「ダイアン・リーヴス／Dianne Reeves」の歌唱で。1956年生まれというから、御年68歳。アルバムよりライブでのパフォーマンスで知られ、「ディー・ディー・ブリッジウォーター／Dee Dee Bridgewater」、「ダイアナ・クラール／Diana Krall」、「カサンドラ・ウィルソン／Cassandra Wilson」と並んで、現代最も重要な女性ジャズシンガーと見なされている。ジャズ・ボーカルの真髄はかくあれと感じさせる歌唱。

「グレゴリー・ポーター」。1971年、カリフォルニアで生まれでブルックリンを拠点に活動するシンガー・シングライター。デビュー・アルバム、「ウォーター／Water」（2010）は、第53回グラミー賞でBest Jazz Vocalアルバムにノミネートされ、セカンド・アルバム、「Be Good」（2012）もグラミー賞にノミネート、3作「リキッド・スピリット／Liquid Spirit」（2013）、4作「希望へのアレイ／Take Me to the Alley」（2016）で、ベスト・ジャズ・ボーカル・アルバム部門のグラミー賞を受賞した。クリスマス・アルバム、「Christmas Wish」（2023）も、第67回グラミー賞「Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album」にノミネートされているというグラミー賞常連歌手である。
